Indian Couple Travels

A blog to share my travel experiences

Barcelona: Historic Center

We took the high-speed train from Seville Santa Justa station and got off in Barcelona Sants. It took little more than 5 hours to reach Barcelona, and we arrived in the afternoon. You can also take a local flight from Seville to Barcelona, but it might take the same time because you have to travel to the airport and wait in line for security and check-in.

At Barcelona Sants, we took R1/R10 to get to Pl Catalunya, where our hotel was located. After checking into our hotel and freshening up, we went out sightseeing.

Pl Catalunya is the most famous and centrally located plaza in the city. With public transportation, all major attractions are conveniently accessible from here. La Rambla street also starts from here.

From Pl Catalunya, we walked towards the Gothic Quarter. Ancient Roman cemetery dates back to the first century AD.

We enjoyed the history of the area, so many things to see and hidden corners to discover. You can easily spend at least 2-3 hours and learn all about it.
